Not
long ago in a kingdom hidden in the wood lived a princess who was very beautiful.
She had a shiny necklace she always wore dresses with some diamonds. There was
a sorcerer that lived beside the kingdom. He had a crooked house. The sorcerer
had a brown cape and he had a long nose.
One day it was the birthday of the princess. She got a dragon she was very happy. The princess decided to call him Old Rusty because his skin was orange and yellowish. He had sharp red spikes and wings with points. He also had angry eyes and a medium-sized tail. Old Rusty liked to eat meat, French fries and apples dipped in barbecue sauce. The princess asked "When you will get older, do you want to be the guard?" the dragon said "Yes".
Later
the princess took a walk all by herself and she saw a crooked house. She went
into the house and saw the sorcerer. She screamed and the sorcerer changed her
into a toad. The sorcerer did this because he was angry at her. The princess
didn't want to marry him. He wanted revenge because the Princess was always
making fun of his crooked house and his long nose. The Toad Princess knew that
to become a real princess again, she'd have to find a Prince and a book of magic
spells.
The Toad Princess hopped deep into the dark, spooky forest. Suddenly, the ground was wet beneath her webbed feet. She looked down to see she was at the edge of a pond. She sat on a rock beside the pond and cried big, salty tears. The tears ran down her cheeks and fell plop, plop into the pond. One tear hit a leaf and the leaf started to move! What should the Toad Princess do?
"Who
are you?" croaked the Toad Princess. Another toad who looked just like
her appeared from beneath the leaf.
"I am the Toad Prince, you can call me Peter" croaked the other toad.
The Toad Princess was hungry so she asked, "What do we eat?"
The Toad Prince or Peter unrolled his tongue and snapped up a fly.
"Yummy, we eat bugs." he croaked.
"Disgusting!" yelled the Toad Princess.
"I don't want to be a toad and eat bugs. Can you help me find the Book of Spells?" pleaded the Toad Princess.
"Sure I can help. The Book of Spells is in the sorcerer's crooked house." croaked Peter, the Toad Prince.
Suddenly they could hear the sound of beating wings against a strong wind. Old Rusty had been looking for the princess for hours. Something shiny caught his attention. Old Rusty swooped down to the pond. There he saw a toad wearing his Princess' necklace. The Toad Princess croaked a welcome but Old Rusty did not understand. Old Rusty reached under his right wing and took out his Dragonese/Toadish Dictionary.
" Please help me, Old Rusty. I am your princess."
Old Rusty smiled as he put the words together.
"Climb onto my back, you two, we will fly to the crooked house." laughed Old Rusty.
Rusty was very happy to have found his Princess, even if she was a toad. Just inside the crooked door, Rusty and the toads could see the Book of Spells on the far shelf, but it was out of their reach...

Rusty tries to get the spell
book....

The toad princess looked around the room and saw a mouse hole. She went in the hole and discovered a magic passage to fairy tale land. She went in the magic gateway and looked for some help. She found the three little pigs and asked them for some help. The first little pig tried to make a straw ladder but it crashed to the floor. The second little pig thought he was smart and built a ladder out of sticks but no nails, it broke too. The third little pig made stairs but there was nothing to put under it so it collapsed. They decided to give up and went back to fairy tale land.
In
fairy tale land they met the gingerbread man. He said "I will help you, hop
on my back". They scurried back through the small hole and ran quickly up the
wall. They got half way up and fell down, the gingerbread man broke his crown
and the toads came tumbling after. The gingerbread man was in a thousand pieces
so the princess swept him up and brought him to the fairy tale hospital.
Suddenly a big rainbow bird swooped out of fairy tale land and dropped four magic beans right below the toad princess's feet. Before she knew it she had a sore head from hitting her head on the roof as the giant beanstock shot up. Now it's just a small leap to the magic spell book.
The prince and princess look up toads in the spell book and said the magic chant:
Changeabba, changeabba
Turn worts into skin,
And slime into freckles
A pout to a grin.
The enchanted spell was broken they were prince and princess again. They hopped on Old Rusty with the magic spell book and whooshed back to the castle. When they got back to the castle they put the magic spell book in a vault with 4000 locks so this tragedy would never happen again.
The sorcerer had a change of heart and became the protecter of fairy tale land and helps lots of people.
