of the class Web page.)

Starting our project

When we first start our project we brainstorm and get lots of different ideas. Once everybody is thinking in high gear and lots of ideas have come up we take a vote. We choose one idea to develop into a story.

Looking up information

Sometimes stories have factual information and so we look things up. We work as a team to do this and check with each other.

Working together

In our class we work in teams when we write our stories and when we create our web page. Sometimes one person's idea leads to another new idea. That way we can come up with interesting ways of saying what we want to share with others.

Picking up our email

We follow the instructions posted by the computer to find our page. We scroll to the bottom and we read the messages. Sarah is checking to see if we received a new email message on our class web page.

Hi Jamie

I saw your picture on the Internet and read about your class project. I will visit you soon and bring you a surprise that you can share with your classmates.

From Ann Livingstone, Jamie's Grandmother, Calgary - March 23, 2003

Dear Mighty Seven

We saw some of the things you are doing in class. We liked the idea of of the new project you recently started. We asked our teacher if we could do that too.

We haven't yet decided what kind of problem our main character will face. We'll let you know soon. Come visit our Web page, too.

From Sunnydale Busy Bees, Mrs Mongeau's class, Dollard - March 25, 2003
