Project components
The project has been divided into four component "activities"
which always have the end product in mind: writing a short mystery story.
Through each one, students gain insight or learn skills required to complete
the task. Each one has links to the curriculum. The activities are meant
as a framework to help YOU scaffold student learning in a way that fits
your class. They trace a way, set a purpose, but give you the freedom
to choose how you implement them in your class should you choose to follow
them.
Components 3 and 4 puts classes in contact with each other as they publish,
solve and react.
Strategies for evaluation are suggested throughout the project. The suggestions
are varied. They show how the project provides opportunities for formative
evaluation at various times in the process.
