project in a nutshell
Activity Structure: Electronic
Publishing
Target groups: Cycle 3 (grades 5 and 6),
cycle 4 (grades 7-8). Ages 10 to 14

Task
- Students read, listen to or view several short mystery stories
to discover their common features,organise and classify them.
- Students research and collect a selection of math, science,
technology, history or geography facts that can be used as clues
in a mystery story.
- Students follow the writing process from draft to web-published
work to create a mystery story based on the problem and clue
selected.
- Students respond to the published stories (on the web) by
attempting to solve the problem.
